Brandon Dunlap is an artist and illustrator-for-hire

His images and techniques resist the tendencies of the mechanical, and sometimes repetitive, nature of digital media. Brandon lives in Tampa, Florida where he received his Master’s degree in painting and printmaking from the University of South Florida. For several years he worked as a production assistant at USF’s Graphicstudio, working alongside many well known artists like James Rosenquist and Vik Muniz. In 2008 he branched out to pursue his own career and is currently creating new work for several upcoming exhibits.
Brandon works as an illustrator-for-hire, creating numerous gigposters and band flyers as well as custom portraits. He also applies his grungy, textured aesthetic to t-shirts, wallets, pillows and messenger bags for Resist Today.
Core to Brandon’s process involves intuitive changes and happy accidents — and he encourages both as part of his ongoing personal exploration.

Here’s a pic of Lazy holding a resisttoday octophant pillow.
Warriors come out and play. Local artists Sarah Gail Hutcherson and Bask are hosting an art exhibit on May 31st at Vitale Studio inspired by the cult classic flick from the late 70’s. The line-up is banging!(Derek Hess, Tes-One,Steak Mtn., Erik Jones, Dolla Bill and more) Check the flyer for info.
The Warriors was a film about street gangs in New York City in the late 70’s / early 80’s. This story follows a group of nine gang members from the Warrior street gang located near Coney Island in New York. A City Wide meeting has been called and each gang must send nine members of their respective gangs to this meeting. Chaos breaks out during the meeting and the warriors are blamed for the problem. Now the gang has to make it back to Coney Island alive while being hunted down by thousands of rival gang members across the city. As corny as some of the scenes are, this movie is still a classic.
